Taking Back Control: Building Safety Beyond Technology
Tech Safe BC is a pilot project of the BC Society of Transition Houses (BCSTH). The project supports an important need for frontline workers across BC who are helping survivors of technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) in the context of safety planning.
Tech Safe BC supports adult survivors (19+) who believe their current or former partner is misusing technology to monitor, control, or cause harm or abuse. To access a virtual or in-person appointment with a Tech Safe BC staff member, survivors must be referred by a BCSTH member program. However, our online resources are open and available to everyone.
Our goal is to give survivors and their support workers the tools, knowledge, and confidence to make safer choices with technology and to incorporate those choices in safety planning.
